Privacy and cookies

What we collect, why, and your rights.

This notice explains what personal data Capital Flows Atlas collects, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Capital Flows Atlas is operated from Cork, Ireland. You can contact us about privacy at hello@capitalflowsatlas.com.

What we collect

  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address so we can send the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email. Newsletter sign-ups are not yet open.
  • Emails you send us: if you email us, we keep your message and address to reply and for our records, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering correspondence.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical information, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where required.

Third-party services

  • Fonts: pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.
  • Charts: the charting library is loaded from cdnjs, run by Cloudflare, which also receives your IP address.
  • Hosting: the site is hosted in Ireland by Hosting Ireland.
  • Newsletter: when sign-ups open, your email address will be held by our newsletter provider, which we will name here.

How long we keep data

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Email hello@capitalflowsatlas.com. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie).
